June Ranger-Led Hikes and Programs Published

In another sure sign that summer has finally arrived in Glacier, the park has just published the June schedule for ranger-led hikes and programs. This year features several new additions to the schedule, including a guided hike to the historic Belly River Ranger Station, as well as a strenuous, but incredibly scenic hike to Gable Pass. Both hikes are located in the northeast corner of the park, near the Canadian border.

Another new addition to the schedule is the Beaver Pond Loop, located near St. Mary. This hike also includes a visit to the historic 1913 Ranger Station.

Many of the ranger-led hikes that have been on the schedule in the past remain this year, including favorites such as the Johns Lake Loop near Lake McDonald, and Iceberg Lake in Many Glacier.

Maybe it's still too early in the season, but the number of hikes offered in the Two Medicine area is noticeably less. Hopefully, once the July schedule is published, will see some of the old favorites return, such as Dawson Pass, Scenic Point and Cobalt Lake.
